We are a friendly group of people who enjoy dancing. We dance mainly English Country dances, both traditional and modern, with some dances from elsewhere in the UK and abroad. These include typical Barn Dance and Ceilidh dances as well as more sedate dances that you may have seen in films such as Pride and Prejudice.

No previous experience is needed. All dances are taught, "walked through", and then danced to music with a caller, who reminds people of the moves. There is no annual membership or joining fee, just a small weekly charge of £2.00, which includes a cup of tea and a biscuit, and your first Tuesday night is free! You don’t need to bring a dancing partner, although if you prefer to come as a couple or in a group, that's fine.

Founded in November 1997 by David Batty, we have been meeting every 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of every month. We hold a concert on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, a professional guest artist features on alternate months. We meet at The Priory Club on Broadfield Drive. Our local players are the special guest artists on the months in between.

The doors open at 7.30pm. From 8pm onwards we listen to a variety of amateur and professional players on our stage. If you are a player, then bring your accordion along and give us a tune. All levels of player welcome as well as listeners who just enjoy meeting a nice crowd and hearing some good music. This may surprise you but about 50% of our members have never touched an accordion and have no idea how to play one, they simply come along for a good night of music and singalong tunes.
