Join Martin every Thursday evening from 7-9pm for Martin Deacon's Soul Selections.
Growing up in Leyland in the 1970s it was very difficult to avoid the influence of Soul music.
My 'Road to Damascus' moment was when I heard the piano intro to the O'Jays 1972 hit 'Backstabbers', from then on I was 'sold'.
My favourite band has to be the O'Jays.
Favourite male vocalist. Marvin Gaye.
