Playing music from 1920 - 1979. The MAJOR difference between all the other presenters is that "Lizzie" always pays a visit with Lancashire Dialect Rhyme.
Music Tastes? Wow, so difficult. Anything upbeat and with a bounce to it. Barbara's favourite band has to be Queen. Her favourite Male Singers are George Michael and Bryan Ferry. She would love to have danced with Patrick Swayze. She also would loved to have done a BIG Hollywood number with Fred Astaire but she is too young to have tried. In case you haven't realised, Barbara loves dancing!
Barbara is a proud parent of two children and one rescue dog called Prince who is a chow crossed with an elkhound. True to her hippie side, she loves nature, wildlife, bees etc. She is happily married to Stuart Dollin who presents Big Band, Swing and Boogie. Barbara likes looking at the alternative side of life which you can see by her slightly outlandish clothes (think of a cheaper version of Stevie Nicks).
Basically, Barbara is a cheerful bunny who is always happy to help people. She loves Chinese food as the different blends of spices and tastes hit her prize button every time.
Her best friend on Radio Leyland is Julie (the hug) Wolverson. She's a brilliant person and has the most infectious giggle. Barbara used to present a show with her and they had a great time together. Coffee time with Julie can (and does) go on for hours.
